I work for regional publications and visitor bureaus capturing the lifestyle of a unique area of WI. With this, I put myself in lots of situations that require a more sturdy camera. The AW100 is small enough to fit in my pocket so I have a camera on me at all times. It is also rugged enough to take the beatings that I often put on my equipment. The waterproof to 33' feature is great too as I like to be out in the rain and also live around water so unique angels can be obtained without worrying about my camera ending up in the drink. I have tried most all the functions so far and am very pleased with the quality and results that I am getting. The one thing I have not tried yet, is video underwater, being that it is winter, the water is too cold to get into yet. It is a great overall camera!
Got this camera to go snorkeling in Hawaii. The camera worked great. Took it in the water every day. Brought it back to the condo and soaked it for 15 minutes in a pitcher of water and back into the ocean the next day. As long as you are very careful when closing the battery/SD card door, you shouldn't have any problems.
